Curt Herr is working on the following Critical/Scholarly editions:

  • The Heavenly Twins, by Sarah Grand

  • The Black Monk; or, The Secret of the Grey Turret, by James Malcolm Rymer (author of Varney the Vampire and Sweeney Todd.)

  • The Devil's Motor, by Marie Corelli, to be published by Zittaw Press. Co-edited with Missy Coleman, this amazing Gothic short story follows Satan as he drives his motor car across the universe picking up lost souls along the way.  This tale was published in a limited edition of 500 copies and is a rare collector's item. Featuring rich illustrations by Arthur Severn, the pages of this oversize book were infused with smoke-like scent. Unfortunately, one hundred years later, this scented paper has become extremely brittle and complete copies of the text are nearly impossible to find.  We are proud to revise this wonderfully creative tale in a full color, new critical edition for Zittaw Press!
